A photo album for disposable cameras: every guest's shots in one place

Guests join with a QR code or an eight-character invite, and the photos end up in one shared album instead of scattered across phones and a drawer of undeveloped rolls.

Disposable cameras are fun, but the photos scatter. Each guest ends up with their own camera, and half the rolls sit undeveloped in a drawer. Nobody ever sees the full set.

sync.camera works as a photo album for disposable cameras, built for events. Here is what a film disposable can't do. Every guest's shots go into one shared album. The host chooses when the album reveals. Moments can split a day into stages, each with its own QR code and reveal timing. And guests don't need an account to join. Want the full picture of how it works? Read about shared event albums and QR code invites.

How the shared album gets built

The host creates an event, names it and picks an end time. That is the whole setup.

Guests join from a QR code or an eight-character invite. No account is required. Any modern phone browser works through the invite link, and installing the iOS or Android app is optional. The app adds better camera controls and push notifications for new photos.

Every guest's photos go into the same event album. The host decides when guests get to see them. See shared event albums and QR code invites for more.

Pick when the album reveals

There are three reveal modes. During: guests see photos live as they are taken. After the event: the gallery unlocks when the event ends. Additional delay: it unlocks a set number of hours after the event ends.

In After the event and Additional delay modes, the album stays locked until its reveal time, so nobody peeks. It is a bit like waiting for a roll to come back from the lab, only the whole group gets the photos at once. Read more about reveal modes.

Moments split one event into stages such as ceremony, reception and after-party. Each stage gets its own QR code and reveal timing, and guests move between them without switching apps.

Browse, filter and keep your favorites

Once the album is open, everyone can browse it together. Filter by photographer narrows the album to one contributor's shots, handy when you want to see the night through one friend's eyes.

When you spot the shots you love, export your favorites. The rest of the album stays right where it is, in the shared gallery. For how events stay private, see private event albums.

Who it is for

Wedding couples

Put a QR code on the table cards so every guest's candids land in one album, revealed when the event ends.

Birthday hosts

Hold the gallery back for a set number of hours after the party so the whole group sees the night together the next day.

Travel groups

Everyone joins by invite link from their own phone and the trip photos end up in one place instead of eight camera rolls.

Event organizers

Use Moments to separate stages of a day, each with its own QR code and reveal timing.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need an account or the app?

No account is required. Guests join from a QR code or an eight-character invite, and any modern phone browser works through the invite link. Installing the iOS or Android app is optional; it adds better camera controls and push notifications for new photos.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. It is free to start, with up to 7 guest uploaders per event. SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands the guest and photo limits for a single event. You upgrade again only when you create a larger event.

Can I hide the photos until the event is over?

Yes. Choose During, After the event, or Additional delay, which unlocks the album a set number of hours after the event ends. Moments can each have their own reveal timing.

Who can see the photos, and are they sold or tracked?

We don't sell your photos or your data, and there are no ads or cross-app tracking. Photos are encrypted in transit and stored in event-scoped buckets, with per-event row-level security. sync.camera does use pseudonymous product analytics, a crash reporter and Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push.

What happens to the photos if I delete my account?

Deleting an account removes the profile, the events it owns and their photos within 30 days.
