You are hosting a party: a birthday, a housewarming, a bachelorette night or a big dinner. Twenty people are taking photos on their own phones, and you want the good ones in one place afterward. You do not want to ask each guest to download something, and you do not want to spend the next week messaging people for their pictures. With guest upload, your guests add their shots to one event album while the party is still happening.
What is hard right now
- The best shots are scattered across twenty camera rolls, and I only ever get the ones I took myself.
- I asked guests to send photos after the party, and half of them never did. The other half sent them in five different group chats.
- Half my guests are on Android and half are on iPhone, so nobody agrees on one app, and nobody wants to make an account just to share a picture.
- I do not want our party photos going into an ad-funded service that sells data or tracks people across apps.
Scenarios
The birthday dinner with a mixed-phone crowd
Aunt Sarah is on Android and the rest of the family chat is on iPhone, so her photos always get lost. Nobody wants to settle on one app for a single dinner.
Before the guests arrive, you create the event, name it and pick an end time. Then you print a QR code and set it on the table. Sarah scans it with her phone browser, joins with no account, and adds her photos. Guests can also join with an eight-character invite, and installing the iOS or Android app is optional.
When the night is over, the photos from both phone types are in the same album. You never had to message anyone.
The surprise party where nobody should peek
You do not want guests scrolling through the gallery mid-party and spoiling the mood, or the surprise. So you pick a reveal mode when you set up the event.
With 'After the event', the gallery unlocks when the event ends. With 'Additional delay', it unlocks a set number of hours later, so the whole group sees the photos together the next morning instead of in pieces during the night. If your party suits it, 'During' lets guests see photos live as they are taken. You can read more about reveal modes and pick the one that fits your night.
The party that moves from dinner to dancing
Some nights have two parts: a dinner, then a late-night stage. You use Moments to split the event into stages, each with its own QR code and its own reveal timing.
Guests move between stages without switching apps. Afterward, you can filter the album by photographer to find the shots from the friend who was on the dance floor, and export your favorites.
The small party that fits the free tier
A dinner for a handful of friends should not cost you anything to set up. The free tier allows up to 7 guest uploaders per event, so a small gathering is free to start.
If your next party is bigger, SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands the guest and photo limits for a single event. You upgrade again only when you create a larger event.
Features that make this work
Guest upload
Guests add their own photos straight to your event album, so you stop collecting pictures one text at a time after the party.
QR code invites
A QR code on the table (or an eight-character invite) is all a guest needs to join. No account required, and any modern phone browser works.
Reveal modes
Choose whether guests see photos during the party, after it ends, or a set number of hours later, so the reveal fits the kind of party you are throwing.
Private event albums
Photos live in an event-scoped album with access enforced per event, so your party pictures stay with the people who were there. We don't sell your photos or your data. No ads. No cross-app tracking.
