One event, dozens of phones, and the best photos scattered across a dozen group chats. Someone has the toast, someone else has the dance floor, and you spend the following week asking friends to send what they took.
A photo sharing app fixes this by giving the whole event one shared album. Guests scan a QR code, take their photos, and everything lands in the same place. There is no account to create and nothing to chase. If you want the QR side in more detail, see QR code photo sharing, or read about how guest upload works for people who join with nothing but their phone.
How the photo sharing app works
The host creates an event in sync.camera, names it and picks an end time. That event gets a QR code and an eight-character invite, and both open the same shared album.
Guests scan the QR code or type in the invite. No account is required. They can join from any modern phone browser via the invite link, so a guest who never installs anything can still take part. Installing the iOS or Android app is optional, and it adds better camera controls and push notifications for new photos.
Photos go into the event's one shared album. With the During reveal mode, guests see them live as they are taken, which is how a shared event album feels like a live feed instead of a pile to sort later.
After the event, the host downloads the photos at full resolution and can export their favorites. For the details, see downloads.

Choose when guests see the photos
Not every event wants a live feed. sync.camera has three reveal modes. During means guests see photos live as they are taken. After the event means the gallery unlocks when the event ends. Additional delay unlocks it a set number of hours after the event ends.
You pick the mode when you set the event up, based on whether you want a live feed or a surprise. The reveal modes page covers each option in more depth.
Bigger events can be split with Moments. A Moment is a stage of the event, such as the ceremony, the reception and the after-party. Each stage has its own QR code and reveal timing, and guests move between them without switching apps.

Who it is for
Wedding couples
Put the QR code on table cards so every guest's candids land in one album, with the gallery set to unlock when the event ends. See the [wedding guest photo sharing app](https://sync.camera/for/wedding-guest-photo-sharing-app) page for more.
Birthday party hosts
Guests scan on arrival, and the host sees the night's photos in one place instead of chasing friends for them in the group chat. Our [party photo sharing app](https://sync.camera/for/party-photo-sharing-app) page goes further.
Corporate event organisers
Attendees join from a QR code with no account, and the organiser filters by photographer for the recap, with Moments keeping each part of the day apart.
Travel groups
Everyone on the trip adds their shots to one private album, with Moments separating each day or stop.
Families
A reunion or holiday gets one shared album, so relatives who never installed an app can still join from a phone browser.

Frequently asked questions
Do guests need an account to share photos?
No. Guests join from a QR code or an eight-character invite, and no account is required. They can use any modern phone browser via the invite link, and installing the iOS or Android app is optional.
Is the photo sharing app free?
It's free to start, with up to 7 guest uploaders per event. SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands the guest and photo limits for a single event. You upgrade again only when you create a larger event.
Can I hide the photos until the event is over?
Yes. Reveal modes let you choose During (live), After the event (the gallery unlocks when it ends), or Additional delay (a set number of hours after the event ends).
Who can see the photos?
Photos are encrypted in transit, stored in event-scoped buckets, and access is enforced by per-event row-level security. sync.camera doesn't sell your photos or your data, shows no ads, and does no cross-app tracking.
Can I split a big event into parts?
Yes, with Moments. Split an event into stages such as ceremony, reception and after-party, each with its own QR code and reveal timing. Guests move between them without switching apps.
What happens to the photos if I delete my account?
Deleting an account removes the profile, the events it owns and their photos within 30 days.
