Bring your birthday guests’ photos together in one event album

You’re busy hosting when the best candid moments happen. Give guests a QR code to join, then choose when everyone can see the photos.

You’re organizing a birthday party for someone you love. Between welcoming friends, serving food, and bringing out the cake, you can’t photograph everything, and your guests capture different parts of the celebration on different phones. sync.camera is an event app for guest photos: you create an event, guests join with a QR code, and the pictures land in one shared album, with you deciding when the gallery opens.

What is hard right now

  • I’m carrying out the cake while everyone else takes the photos I want.
  • Some friends have Android phones, others have iPhones. I don’t want joining the album to become another hosting job.
  • I spend the next week asking different people to send their pictures.
  • I want a shared photo reveal after the party, rather than everyone checking the gallery all evening.

Scenarios

Let guests join as they arrive

Your cousin arrives with an Android phone while your friends use iPhones. Before the party, you create the event, name it, and pick an end time. Then you put the event QR code beside the welcome sign.

Guests scan it and join from any modern phone browser, with no account required. Installing the iOS or Android app is optional, so nobody has to download anything before they can start sharing. If someone would rather type than scan, there is an eight-character invite too, and joining never turns into another hosting job for you.

Free to start. Upgrade per event. The free tier supports up to 7 guest uploaders per event, and SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands guest and photo limits for a single event. Upgrade again only when you create a larger event.

Find the cake photos you missed while hosting

You carry the cake into the room while your sister photographs the birthday guest’s reaction. Instead of asking around the next week, you already have those pictures, because guests contribute what they shoot to the event album.

Later, filter by photographer to find your sister’s shots, then export your favorites. For more ideas on what guests tend to capture, see photo ideas guests will actually want to share.

Give dinner and the after-party their own photo reveal

The celebration starts with a family dinner and continues with friends at an after-party. Use Moments to split those stages, each with its own QR code and reveal timing. Guests move between them without switching apps.

You might show dinner photos during that stage and choose a later reveal for the after-party, so nobody is refreshing the gallery all evening. Or keep one live gallery if you would rather everyone see photos as they are taken. It is your call, stage by stage.
