You organize the get-together, then spend the next week asking for everyone's pictures. Your cousin's photos stay on their phone, the holiday shots disappear into separate chats, and relatives who couldn't come see only what someone forwards. You want one private place where your family can add and see the day's photos, without asking everyone to create another account.
What is hard right now
- I took forty photos at the reunion, my cousin took sixty, and I'll never see hers unless I chase her for them.
- Our holiday pictures are split across three group chats. Grandma only sees whatever someone remembers to forward.
- The relatives who couldn't come miss the pictures too, unless I collect everything and send it on.
- Half my family won't make an account for another app, so anything that requires one won't get used.
- I want our family's photos to stay private. I don't want them sold or used for ads.
Scenarios
Family reunions
Picture thirty relatives together for a weekend, with photos scattered across their phones by Sunday. Before your family reunion, create an event, give it a name and pick an end time. Put its QR code on the table or send the eight-character invite to your family chat. Your relatives can join and upload from any modern phone browser, with no account required. The iOS or Android app is optional.
The free tier covers up to 7 guest uploaders per event. For a bigger gathering, SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands the guest and photo limits for a single event. Upgrade again only when you create a larger event. Free to start. Upgrade per event.
Holidays and birthdays
You have the cake photo. Your sibling caught the candles being blown out, and a cousin photographed everyone around the table. Create one event for your holiday or birthday party, and your family can add those different views to the same album. You can see more of the day without searching through separate chats.
Choose when the photos become visible: During lets your family see them live as they are taken. After the event unlocks the gallery when the event ends. Additional delay unlocks it a set number of hours later. For a birthday surprise, you can choose a reveal time after the celebration.
The relatives who were not there
Perhaps your grandparents couldn't travel, or a cousin lives overseas. Send them the invite link so they can open the album in their phone browser, with no account and no app needed. When your chosen reveal time arrives, they can see the photos your family has added without waiting for you to forward a selection.
If they want to find one relative's pictures, they can filter the album by photographer. After the get-together, you can also export your favorites to keep or share with your family.
Big days split into stages
Your family day might start with a church service or ceremony, continue over lunch and finish with an evening party. Split the event into Moments so each stage has its own QR code and reveal timing.
For example, you could reveal the lunch photos during lunch and save the evening party gallery until that stage ends. Your relatives can move between Moments without switching apps, and you can choose when each part of the day is shared.
