Keep your wedding prints and gather your guests’ phone photos

Your instant-photo guestbook captures one part of the celebration. Use sync.camera alongside it to collect the phone photos your guests take throughout your wedding.

If you’re looking at Polaroid cameras for weddings, you probably already picture a guestbook filled with instant prints and handwritten notes. You also want the phone photos your guests take between those moments. sync.camera is a digital photo-sharing service that works alongside your printed keepsakes. Give your guests a way to contribute from their phones, and choose when they can browse the gallery.

What is hard right now

  • We want an instant-photo guestbook, but we also want the phone photos from around the room.
  • We don’t want to spend our first week married asking everyone to send their pictures.
  • Our guests have different phones. We don’t want everyone to need an account or another app.
  • We’d love to save the gallery reveal for after the wedding.

Scenarios

Pair your instant-photo guestbook with a QR invite

Your cousin leaves an instant print in your guestbook, then gathers everyone nearby for a group picture on her phone. Place your sync.camera QR code beside the guestbook so she has a place to contribute that picture, too. Your guestbook holds the prints and handwritten wishes; your digital album collects your guests’ phone photos.

Guests can join from a QR code or an eight-character invite. No account required. The invite link works in any modern phone browser, and installing the iOS or Android app is optional. Add a short note beside your code: “Share your phone photos here.”

Free to start. Upgrade per event. The free tier supports up to 7 guest uploaders per event. For a bigger group, SYNC PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, that expands guest and photo limits for a single event. Upgrade again only when you create a larger event.

Give each part of your wedding its own Moment

Your college friends capture the reception tables and dance floor. Later, your siblings take photos at the after-party. Use Moments to split your wedding event into stages, such as the ceremony, reception and after-party.

Each Moment has its own QR code and reveal timing. Put the reception code where guests gather, then share the after-party code with the group heading out with you. Your guests can move between Moments without switching apps.

Plan a gallery reveal for after the celebration

You want your guests to contribute during the reception and enjoy the gallery afterward. When you create your event, name it and pick an end time. Choose After the event to unlock the gallery when the event ends.

For a later reveal, choose Additional delay and set the number of hours after the event ends before the gallery unlocks. If you’d enjoy seeing the dance-floor photos appear throughout the evening, choose During so guests see photos live as they are taken.

Find your sister’s photos and export your favorites

After the wedding, your sister mentions a photo she took of your grandparents together. Use the photographer filter to narrow the album to her contributions and look through her shots for that moment.

Then export your favorites to keep alongside your wedding’s printed keepsakes. You can revisit the instant prints in your guestbook and the phone photos your friends and family contributed from around the celebration.
