You are planning a wedding, and you want a guestbook that reflects the people celebrating with you. Signatures are lovely. But you also want your grandparents’ smiles, your friends’ table photos, and the dance-floor moments you missed. Your guests use different phones, so joining has to be easy: no accounts, no app download required. sync.camera is a photo-based guestbook approach. Your guests add their photos to one event album, and you decide when everyone gets to see it. Want the written side too? Our digital wedding guestbook page covers the basics, and this guide to guestbook ideas shows how couples capture more than signatures.
What is hard right now
- We want more than signatures. We want to see the day through our guests’ eyes.
- Our guests use different phones. We do not want joining the album to become another wedding-day task.
- We do not want to spend our first week married chasing photos across group chats.
- We want to choose when guests see the photos, including saving the reveal until after the wedding.
Scenarios
Turn the guestbook table into a photo invitation
Your aunt arrives with an Android phone. Your college friend has an iPhone. You want both of them to add photos without fuss.
Place your event QR code on stationery you design yourself, next to a prompt like "Show us who made your table laugh." The personal touch comes from your invitation and your guests’ photos. sync.camera does not design stationery or collect written guestbook entries.
Both guests can join from a modern phone browser with no account. They can also join with an eight-character invite. The iOS and Android apps are optional. They add better camera controls and push notifications for new photos. Want a fuller plan? See how to collect wedding photos from guests without the follow-up chase.
Give each part of your wedding its own photo collection
Your cousin captures the ceremony arrivals. Your friends stay for the after-party. Those are different moments, and they deserve their own space.
Use Moments to split your event into stages: ceremony, reception, and after-party. Each stage gets its own QR code and its own reveal timing. Guests move between stages without switching apps.
Consider placing the relevant code at each location. One at the ceremony entrance. One at the reception. One where the after-party begins.
Save the gallery reveal for your first morning married
You want guests to contribute during the reception and enjoy the photos together afterward. You can set that up before the day starts.
Create your event, name it, and pick an end time. Then choose a reveal mode. After the event unlocks the gallery when the event ends. Additional delay unlocks it a set number of hours after the event ends. That is how you save the reveal for the morning after.
Prefer to watch the photos roll in? Choose During, and guests see photos live as they are taken. Reveal settings control when the gallery opens. They do not control what your guests do with their phones.
Find your favorite people’s perspective after the wedding
Your grandmother asks to revisit the photos your brother took at her table. You do not want to scroll through everything to find them.
Filter the album by photographer to narrow it to his shots. Then export your favorites.
Exports let you keep selected images for a separate keepsake project of your own. sync.camera does not offer built-in printing or photo-book ordering.
